Can't Write Right Now - I’m in Buenos Aires

"In your dreams!" you exclaim.

Actually, I’m enthralled with my book club’s latest selection, “The Buenos Aires Broken Hearts Club” by Jessica Morrison. Definitely chic lit. Definitely absorbing. I sit outside with a glass of wine for long stretches of time, oblivious to the birds crapping on the deck behind me or The Husband roaming the house calling my name looking for me. I'm also oblivious to the phone ringing from doctors who want more money or assistants trying to set up appointments or insurance companies talking about referrals. I'm oblivious to numbness, tingling, fatigue.

They don't exist in Buenos Aires.

I'll write when I get back. In the meantime, I'm enjoying this MS-free zone.

  1. About once every two years I find a book like that. I forget about laundry, I forget about cooking dinner, I forget that the dogs need fed. It's rare to find a book like that so enjoy it to the fullest!!!

  2. It is summer and I long for books like that so I can get lost for the whole 3 months.

When I was a kid, I joined the neighborhood Library Summer Readers Club for children ages 10 to 14 and I just loved it.

To this day, my summers are jam packed full of great books and I love every single minute of it.

    Happy Reading!

  4. Lost-- in a book. As summer should be. I'm lost in four and so I can't get anywhere. Oh well...

  5. I vaguely recall books .... alas, they are not in my schedule of 'things to do' any longer.
