MS Chats Resume This Friday: Finding an MS-Free Zone

Delaware Area MS On-line Chat
Friday 24 April, 7:00 - 9:30 pm (east coast time)
Chat Topic: Finding an MS-Free Zone

(Do you need a reminder? Leave a comment or send me an e-mail and I'll send a message on Friday - but I'll need your e-mail address.)

After a few weeks off for Spring break, the Delaware Area MS chats are back!

Although the chat room took a break, MS never does. That's why it is so important to find a way to get a respite from this disease, even for a moment. Rosalind Kalb (PhD and well-known author of MS books including the "Knowledge is Power" series) refers to the part of us that MS can't touch as our "MS-Free Zone." She encourages us (and our caregivers) to carve out a time, a place, a way to stop thinking about it for even a small period of time to keep a sense of self.

Do you have a way to escape for a little bit, like immersing yourself in a book or a hobby, engaging in prayer or meditation? What techniques do you use to distract yourself for a while? Bring your thoughts and ideas to share. (Cookies are a welcome distraction, hint hint!)

Let's chat on Friday about this and anything else that comes up.

If you want to connect on-line with others with MS in Delaware and surrounding areas, please join us THIS FRIDAY between 7:00 - 9:30 pm. Show up when you want, leave when you want. Chat from the comfort of your own home.

To attend, go to the right side of this blog and click on "Enter My Chat Room" then follow the directions.
