Delaware Area MS Chat Friday: Be the Squeaky Wheel

Delaware Area MS Chat
Friday 22 January, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Self-Advocacy: Being the Squeaky Wheel
We'll chat about this and anything else that comes up.

To attend, just click HERE or click on the coffee cup in the right margin, then follow the directions.

Self-advocacy refers to being pro-active and speaking up for your interests. For the MS patient, this means being knowledgeable of your conditions, actively participating in your medical treatments, speaking up for accessibility, and communicating your needs. In other words, instead of being a limp rag, be the squeaky wheel.

The National MS Society has good material on their website at:
http://www.nationalmssociety.org/living-with-multiple-sclerosis/advocate-for-yourself/index.aspx

Newcomers are always welcome and you don't have to live in the Delaware area to join.

If you want to connect on-line with others with MS in Delaware and surrounding areas, please join us THIS FRIDAY between 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

If you are uncomfortable typing, you are still welcome to come and watch the conversation.

If you have trouble seeing, you can increase the font size in the chat room by going to the top menu and selecting Options/Increase Font. Each time you select that option, it increases the font by one point.
