Thanks for an Interesting Chat

No, seriously, it really was a very interesting chat! At least for me.

Thanks to the five chatters who visited our first chat using the upgraded chat room (no ads). Unfortunately, it didn't stop people from being dropped. I'm looking into that.

We had three new chatters, two of whom are newly diagnosed (relatively) and one is still undiagnosed. I hope they found the chat to be useful and not too scary (we did have virtual cheesecake, after all).

We covered a range of topics including length of exacerbations (different for everyone), Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI) and the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS). I provide some links below.

We also discussed what to do if you begin to think you may not be able to drive any longer. That’s a frightening thought for anyone, but something to consider if your MS progresses. We did have a chat devoted to Transportation issues last October, but never touched on the topic of how to determine if you should stop driving. Please post a comment if you have ideas to share on this subject.

CCSVI: This site is the CCSVI Tracking Website, and documents the actual experiences of patients who have had surgeries (ballooning, stents, open neck surgery).
